Paddle Away!

Paddlecraft are growing in popularity on California’s waterways.
A paddlecraft is a water vessel that is propelled with a – you guessed it – a paddle! Kayaks, standup paddleboards, rafts and canoes are all examples of paddlecraft. Over the past few years, the number of boat accidents that involved paddlecraft has risen with their popularity, mostly due to operator inexperience and lack of attention.

So please, remember to stay safe this summer, take a boating safety course, and Wear it California!

DBW BOATING COURSE INCLUDES PADDLING SAFETY

Check out the paddlecraft pages 79-86 within the DBW Boating Safety Course to learn or refresh your safety knowledge.
